NAIT
In celebration of the 50th anniversary of NAIT's Forestry department, we helped create a new, sustainable campus at Kidney Lake in remote northern Alberta. Nestled between Whitecourt and Swan Hills, this campus demonstrates what’s possible with modular design.
With 56 dorms, 3 classrooms, and support units, we leveraged our national resources to make it happen. Through unpredictable weather, challenging roads, and tight timelines, we delivered. We didn't stop until the job was done, setting a new standard for modular construction—and raising the bar for education in Alberta.
Pilot Butte
A third space is where people connect—informal, neutral ground where communities thrive. The town of Pilot Butte, Saskatchewan, envisioned just that with their new water and spray park. Together, we designed and delivered a state-of-the-art washroom facility that meets the town’s needs and elevates the experience for residents.
This project is just one of many. We are committed to bringing people together, delivering solutions that foster growth, success, and community spirit.
St. Theresa
Herauf Modular recently completed a pivotal project at St. Theresa Point First Nation, demonstrating a swift and sustainable approach to community housing. In the heart of winter, utilizing the ice roads for transport, we delivered modular homes that promise more than just shelter.
Our journey began with meticulous planning, as the homes were constructed in our controlled environment facilities, ensuring each unit met our rigorous standards for quality and durability, essential for the harsh northern climate. As the trucks navigated the frozen ice roads—a logistical feat in itself—the anticipation from the community grew. The arrival of these homes marks a significant step forward in addressing the urgent need for affordable housing in remote areas. The installation process was both rapid and efficient. This speed is not just a testament to our technology and process but also a crucial factor in regions where construction seasons are tightly bound by weather conditions.
Federated Co-op
Delivering comfort and support isn’t just what we do—it’s who we are. One of our proudest collaborations is with Federated Co-op, where we provide washroom and sewer units for their expanding truck stop locations.
At a Federated Co-op truck stop, we designed, built, and installed a modular washroom and sewer unit tailored to the site. Fabrication took place off site in a controlled facility. We craned the unit into place and completed utility tie ins in a single mobilization with minimal disruption. The layout is accessible with gender separated rooms. Touchless fixtures, epoxy floors, and mechanical ventilation support cleanliness and comfort. A packaged wastewater system with insulated piping and heat trace ensures reliable winter performance. Durable finishes and service panels simplify cleaning and maintenance. The result is a clean, dependable amenity that keeps the location running smoothly.
Buffalo Lake Metis
We are proud to have partnered with the Buffalo Lake Métis community to provide 20 new homes—helping solve housing insecurity and providing stability to families who needed it most. These units offer more than shelter; they bring opportunity and hope.
Working closely with the CMHC and all levels of government, we ensured the homes were pre-approved for families in need. Collaboration and persistence are key to delivering meaningful change, and we are honored to be the partner of choice in Buffalo Lake and beyond.
